Positive Vibrations: 6 Ways to Make Any Situation Positive

You have the power to control your reactions. Sometimes you cannot change your situations , but you can make the decision to make something positive out of it. Basically, these are my tips on how to make any situation a positive one.

  1. Accept that shit isn’t perfect
    • “Accepting that things are bad is not positive, Mia.” Well I am not asking you to rejoice about it. I am simply saying that once you accept your situation for what It is, the sooner you can move on.
  2. Find the lesson
    • Of course when you are all pissed off, sad, or stressed this is the last thing on your mind, but you have to work to change that habit. Finding the lesson in any situation is the only way to grow and move forward.
  3. Reflect on past situations
    • How many times have you thought “This is the worst thing that can happen to me!” Compare the last time you thought you would never get over a negative situation to now. You got over it, and you will get over this too.
  4. Appreciation and gratitude
    • Focus your attention and energy on the things that are going well. I know sometimes, this feels impossible to do. At your lowest times, it often feels that there is nothing to be happy or grateful for. If you can’t think of anything know these two things:
      1. You woke up today
      2. God loves you
  5. Don’t Dwell
    • Sitting in an unpleasant mood after a bad situation only heightens the negative emotions and energy. Don’t give all your power to negativity. Do something that makes you feel good.
  6. Trust in God
    • Having unwavering faith should leave no room for negativity. Knowing in your heart of hearts that each trial or bump in the road is all a part of a plan to lead you to exactly where you are promised should offer solace in upsetting situations. Find comfort in knowing that the Lord is always looking out for you, boo. It’s always good being a child of God.
